Size
X-Small fits neck circumference 0-6 inches. Ideal for toy breed dogs (Chihuahuas, Yorkshire Terriers, toy Poodles, Pomeranians) and small cats weighing up to approximately 8-10 lbs. Measure your pet's neck at the widest point to ensure proper fit.
How to Use
Remove collar from packaging and inflate to desired firmness by blowing into the valve—should be firm enough to prevent bending but not rock-hard. Thread your pet's regular collar through the loops on the inside of the Cloud Collar, or use the integrated hook-and-loop strap to secure directly around the neck. Adjust for a snug fit that allows two fingers to fit comfortably between the collar and your pet's neck. Position the collar so it extends just past your pet's nose when they turn their head—this prevents them from reaching the affected area. Monitor your pet initially to ensure they cannot access their wound or surgical site. If needed, add more air for increased rigidity.
Care
Deflate slightly if needed and machine wash on gentle cycle with mild detergent. Air dry completely before reinflating. Alternatively, spot clean with damp cloth and pet-safe cleaner. Check inflation daily and add air if collar becomes soft. Inspect regularly for punctures, tears, or leaks and replace if damaged.
Good For
Post-surgical recovery, wound healing, hot spot treatment, preventing scratching of ears or face, stopping excessive licking or chewing, protecting skin conditions, and managing allergies. Ideal for small pets that become distressed or disoriented by traditional hard plastic cones.
Notes
Some pets may need a brief adjustment period to become comfortable wearing the collar. Provide positive reinforcement and treats during initial use. Always supervise your pet for the first few hours to ensure the collar is preventing access to the affected area. Consult your veterinarian if you have concerns about whether the collar adequately protects your pet's surgical site or wound. Not recommended for very flat-faced (brachycephalic) breeds who may still be able to reach certain body areas. The collar should prevent pets from reaching wounds on their body, legs, and tail, but may not prevent access to front paws in some pets. Store deflated when not in use to save space.
