Corid 9.6% Oral Solution is a coccidiostat used as an aid in the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis in cattle, particularly calves. Coccidiosis is caused by the protozoan parasites Eimeria bovis and E. zuernii, leading to severe intestinal illness. Corid contains the active ingredient amprolium, which works by inhibiting thiamine uptake in the parasites, effectively starving them and stopping their reproduction.
