How to Use

Administer one 57g syringe per 1,250 lbs body weight once daily for 5 consecutive days. Remove feed 1-2 hours before administration for best results (not required). Insert syringe into corner of horse's mouth, depositing paste on back of tongue. Ensure horse swallows complete dose. Repeat daily for all 5 days—do not skip days. Use 1-2 times per year as part of strategic deworming program, typically in late fall or early winter when encysted larvae are most prevalent. Follow up with fecal egg count 2-3 months post-treatment to assess effectiveness.

Encysted small strongyles (cyathostomins) are the most significant internal parasites affecting horses today. Larvae burrow into intestinal lining and encyst, making them unreachable by standard deworming doses. When larvae emerge simultaneously (often in late winter/spring), they can cause life-threatening colitis. The PowerPac's high-dose, extended protocol penetrates these cysts. Strongyles can represent up to 90% of a horse's parasite burden. The condition called "hay belly" (pot-bellied appearance despite adequate nutrition) often indicates heavy encysted strongyle infestation.
