Overview

Manna Pro Hen Healer Multi-Purpose Ointment is a lanolin-based protective ointment specifically formulated for all classes of poultry. This blue-colored formula temporarily protects and helps support healing of minor cuts, lacerations, scrapes, and sores on chickens' bodies, legs, heads, faces, combs, and wattles. The distinctive blue color helps deter pecking while creating a barrier against insects, dirt, and moisture.

How to Use

Clean affected area gently with warm water and pat dry. Apply a thick, generous coat to cover wound completely—don't be stingy. Apply at least once daily, or more frequently if ointment wears off. Repeat application daily until wound is completely healed (typically 5-14 days depending on severity). For pecking injuries, apply immediately to discourage further pecking by flock mates—the blue color signals them to leave the area alone. Can be applied preventatively to areas prone to frostbite in winter. The 2 oz jar provides approximately 20-30 applications depending on wound size.

For external use only. Do not apply internally or near eyes. If condition persists or worsens after 7 days of treatment, or in case of deep wounds, serious burns, or signs of infection (excessive swelling, pus, foul odor), consult your veterinarian. Not a substitute for veterinary care in serious injuries. Isolate severely injured birds from flock to prevent further pecking even with blue ointment applied. Monitor treated birds for signs of infection. The blue color may stain light-colored feathers temporarily but will fade with molting.
